What is the Sharefest Workday?

The Sharefest Workday is an annual community-building and service day that mobilizes thousands of volunteers of all ages to work on community projects designed to meet tangible needs. We paint, clean, plant, refurbish, and beautify schools, parks, and public facilities at no cost to recipients, thanks to our donors and supporters. For 15 years, Sharefest has joined volunteers and organizations in the greater South Bay and L.A. Harbor areas to create positive change in their communities. See what happened at the 2017 Workday.

Why?

Sharefest believes the places where people live, learn, work, and play should inspire beauty, creativity, and hope. Due to budget cutbacks, many local communities experience the effects of civic decline. Positive change happens when communities of care come together to revitalize neglected areas and inspire pride of ownership.

When is the Workday?

The 15th Annual Workday took place on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Stay tuned for more information regarding the 16th Annual Workday taking place next year!

Who benefits?

Everyone! As a volunteer, you will end the day with the satisfaction of making a difference in your community. As a recipient organization, you will see a dream come true for little to no cost. Your life will be changed as a result of giving your time, talent, and treasure to serving others in your community. You’ll have an amazing experience as cultures, skills, personalities, and people of all ages come together to create an imprint of lasting positive change.
