YDA Art Show

On Tuesday evening (June 14th), our Youth Development Academy held an art exhibit for the students of Avalon H.S. The exhibit featured a semester's worth of work completed by the students. Art Instructor Katherine Madrigal took the students on an artistic journey, exploring such themes as personal identity, family, autobiographical comic strips and social responsibility. The exhibit featured books that the students put together in order to highlight all of their work throughout the course. The exhibit was held at Banning's Landing in Wilmington and was being sponsored by the Wilmington Cooordinating Council.
