All Hands on Deck. Workday. Eucalyptus Elementary School

Eucalyptus Elementary School (Hawthorne, CA) represents one of Sharefest’s Workday projects and is looking for volunteers to get involved and help with the revitalization efforts at their campus.  As one of the many public schools affected by drastic cutbacks in the state’s budget, there are many areas on campus that need improvement at Eucalyptus. The Parent Center, the school’s garden, various murals, and the staff lounge are just a few of the areas that could use a little elbow grease and TLC from community volunteers. The Chinese Community Church of South Bay has taken the lead in adopting this project, but it is the hope of Eucalyptus Elementary to turn this activity into a community-wide effort in reinvigorating school pride.

Join us at the 8th Annual Workday on May 14, 2011 as Sharefest and the Chinese Community Church of South Bay partner with Eucalyptus Elementary School to provide the much needed supplies and manpower to renew and restore the campus.
