Thank you to our 2011 Workday sponsors!

In less than 24 hours, the 8th Annual Workday will commence and thousands of volunteers will join together in hundreds of service projects all around the South Bay and Harbor areas that will benefit the members of the community at no cost to the recipients. This is in large part due to the commitment and generous giving of Sharefest’s sponsors. By sharing their resources, ranging from volunteers, materials, and monetary donations, the Workday’s sponsors are taking an important step in leaving a lasting imprint of hope and care in these communities within Los Angeles County. Among the many, many sponors of this year's Workday, you will see: Plains All American Pipeline, ConocoPhillips, Councilwoman Janice Hahn, Cal Sulpher, Home Depot Foundation, TY Nursery, and SA Recycling.

Sharefest is grateful to have been able to rally support from local businesses, non-profit organizations, faith communities, and residents in the community to achieve its goals.

The Workday has become a vehicle for many in our communities to find common ground for turning care for their community into action.

--Chad Mayer, Sharefest Executive Director

The range of projects is enormous: A 40ft high scoreboard and a sustainable urban garden will be installed at San Pedro High School (Cornerstone Construction Group; read more about this partnership here), an amphitheatre will be upgraded at Adams Middle School in Torrance (Barnhart Balfour Beatty; read more about this partnership here), a revitalization of Holmes Ave. Elementary School in Los Angeles, and dozens of beautification efforts will be made at schools and hundreds of other projects will be completed.

Thank you sponsors for your support and leadership!
